Asia Perfume Foundation

The Asia Perfume Foundation (APF) collaborates with an extensive network of approved course providers across Asia-Pacific. Most of these centres are open to the public.

Studying at an APF centre in Asia-Pacific offers a unique dual advantage: you will gain professional perfumery knowledge from qualified instructors and approved curricula, while also experiencing the region’s rich aromatic heritage through local scented botanicals. These include ylang-ylang in Philippines, lotus in Vietnam, patchouli in Indonesia, hinoki in Japan, tea leaves in Taiwan, magnolia in Hong Kong, and sandalwood in Australia.

By combining travel with structured learning, students can create a rewarding educational journey. For example, they may begin with APF Level 1 in Japan or Taiwan to master perfumery materials and blending techniques, advance to APF Level 2 in Australia or the Philippines to explore comprehensive fragrance families and practice compounding under expert guidance, and complete APF Level 3 in Ho Chi Minh City or Hong Kong, where they will work with aroma isolates as a professional perfumer.
